week nine math T3

 1. 3/8 of 24 =3x3= 6h sleeping

2. 1/4 of 16= 4x1= 4 teams playing

3. 2/3 of 15= 5x2 = 10 biscuits left

4. 3/8 of 64 = 8x3 =24 bikes had flat tyres

In a sports competition, there are 25 teams. Only 2/5 of the teams can play at any one time. How many teams are playing at once?

2/5 x 25 = ⅖ x 25/1 = 50/5 = 10

There are 12 biscuits in a packet.  If Blake gives ¼ of them away, how many biscuits will he have left?

¼ x 12 = ¼ x 12/1 = 12/4 = 3
